A community is not the sum of its interests but the sum of its dedication.

The name Lympho-Opt stands for high standards
Ludwig van Beethovens opera Fidelio embodies the vision and mission of the Lympho-Opt Clinic. In the opera, Leonore disguises herself as a man, calls herself Fidelio, and sneaks into the tyrant Don Pizarros prison, where her beloved husband, the freedom fighter Florestan, is being held in shackles. Leonore gets herself hired on as a prison guard and finds Florestan in one of the deepest dungeons. Finally, she manages to remove her husbands shackles and free him.
Our goal as the doctors and employees of Lympho-Opt is to remove the shackles that our patients bear as a result of their illness. Day after day, we are doing everything we can to achieve this goal, to restore our patients´ freedom (of movement) to the greatest extent possible.
Leonore is a symbol of our mission
The bronze statue pictured here stands in the Lympho-Opt Clinic. It represents Leonore, the symbol of gaining freedom from shackles. It also symbolizes the interaction of the three vessel systems within our bodies. If you look closely, you can see that different colored liquids are flowing out of the golden cup Leonore holds in her hands and into three different vessels, each of which is a different size. The biggest vessel (red liquid) represents the arteries, the middle-sized one (yellow liquid) represents the lymph vessels, and the smallest (blue liquid) represents the veins.
Lymph - a symbol of integration and holistic being
The harmonic interplay between these three vessel systems is one of the most important cornerstones of good health. Arteries and veins are connected in a closed system, with our hearts pumping our blood through the system. The lymphatic system, on the other hand, is an open system that passes through the entire body with an extremely fine and sensitive network. The transport of lymph fluid depends on several totally different factors, which in turn can be heavily influenced by our mental and emotional state.
Our lymphatic system is far more mysterious and fascinating than most of the other systems and organs in our bodies. We at the Lympho-Opt Clinic consider this fascination a challenge worth taking on. And that´s why healing for us means viewing our patients holistically and not from a purely mechanical perspective.
